I enjoyed lunch in a splendid old private house with a history of 300 years. The obanzai lunch eaten around the hearth was all very delicious. You can also stay overnight for 11,000 yen with two meals included. It is said to be comfortable even in the summer without the need for air conditioning. It was a quiet and very relaxing time. You can enjoy a meal around the hearth. Today, we sat with some first-time visitors, but they were all friendly and we had a great time, almost like a family reunion. There are other rooms available, so you don't necessarily have to sit with others. The daughter, who trained in France, is in charge of cooking. The dishes all look delicious. The service was excellent, with the mother being very kind today as well.
I stopped by to have lunch. It's a bit hard to find. From the entrance, it feels like you could meet Totoro. Ring the buzzer at the entrance to enter. A lovely old lady will come out from inside. The inside of the dark room is a bit smoky, maybe because it's an old folk house? There was a fire lit in the hearth. Seeing a sight I don't usually see in my daily life made me feel uplifted. For lunch, I had obanzai lunch and while waiting for the rice to be ready, I was able to tour around the old folk house. There were many dishes for lunch, and they were really delicious! I even got seconds of rice and left fully satisfied. The conversation with the old lady was enjoyable, and I truly felt like I was back home.

美山の里はとてものどかで春先は、田んぼにレンゲが咲き綺麗です。 川のせせらぎを聞きながらのんびりと過ごせます。サイクルイングも最高ですね。
