As a burger enthusiast, I can confidently say that Ben's is one of my top three favorite spots within a 50-mile radius of Des Moines. The fresh, ground beef is cooked to order, and you can really taste the quality at Ben's Burgers. The patties are incredibly tender and juicy, held together perfectly by a deliciously toasted and buttered bun. The fries are also exceptional—fresh, crispy, and with a great texture that keeps you coming back for more. Ben's Burgers has found the perfect combination that keeps me returning weekly. Their burgers are truly a delight!

However, we were let down by the cheeseburgers, which lacked flavor and seemed to be seasoned only with salt. They were quite dry due to the minimal amount of sauce, and the cheese wasn't even melted. The burgers were thin, which explained why they frequently promoted their double cheeseburger. On a brighter note, the French fries were crispy, hot, and seasoned just right. The prices were fair, and I'm considering returning to give the double cheeseburger a try next time.

The burgers featured smash-style patties, and the buns were superior to typical hamburger buns. The fries remained crispy even after our burgers had cooled down. Ben came to our table to check in and see how we were enjoying our meal. Overall, it was an outstanding first visit to this restaurant.
