suppen are all homemade and delicious. excellent Sundays carvery with a great selection of roasted and sweet in the offer. the place is licensed, so there is a small but sufficient selection of alcohol to go with their meal when they choose. if they are vegetarian/vegan, give them a special diet and tell them their requirements before their visit if possible. very recommended for Sunday dinner, as the place is often... What User dislikes about The Olde Nook:
Requested two cream teas and a panini. Had to pay extra for one scone and two coffees at they only served the afternoon tea for one person. Told my wife she was awkward. Rude and unapologetic. Kept arguing the toss while I was writing this...review. Avoid like the plague. Not a pleasant place. View all feedback.

There was a special on the breakfast So we asked for it £12 It was double of everything, but my partner isn’t a big eater so I said on the one could you only put one of everything instead of two still wanted to pay the £12) They would benefit really we were told we can’t do that , we asked why , Didn’t say I will go and ask Just No ! I said you could make another breakfast with which we don’t have ! No was still the answer Well I felt like getting up and walking out, Why is my question ??? Small breakfast was £5:95 I’m a bigger eater so they wouldn’t have lost out ! Not even a smile on their faces Don’t care what you want ! That’s how they do it and that’s that, So if you want customer service there don’t bother .

We were looking for afternoon tea and had checked a few options online: the quirky building and the price looked appealing. You choose your own sandwich (slightly extra charge for salmon and prawn) and cake, which means you get a customised option. Portions were massive and they let us have a doggy bag for the cake. Lovely staff, lovely food, staff very adaptive too: let us swap tea for juice and our jams for no extra charge. £10 a head and limitless tea and coffee.

Popped in for a quick drink and lunch with a friend. A good welcome by a member of staff, but we were promptly informed of the various items on the menu that they didn’t have. The reason being the “Easter break”. Bearing in mind one item was tuna an item my friend would have chosen for the baked potato filling), and possibly echoing previous comments, how difficult is it to go to a local supermarket and buy a couple of tins ? We both settled on baked potato with cheese and beans we were told that they had no beans, but found some) and tea for two. The tea was luke warm unfortunately, and the extra hot water, wasn’t . The potatoes to be fair weren’t bad, but served on very small plates so difficult to eat. Neither of us would return, the cafe looks tired and in need of a good clean. A shame, because with a bit of effort, this could be lovely.

This is a beautiful quaint cafe offering good range menu. We have returned several times and always enjoy their very reasonable priced full English breakfast. Would highly recommend. Lovely welcoming staff.
