**Exploring the Culinary Experience at Zona 78** Zona 78 presents a mixed gastronomic experience, combining commendable dishes with occasional service hiccups. Diners appreciate the vibrant atmosphere and well-prepared meals, especially the gluten-free pasta and various pizza options. However, concerns arise regarding the consistency of food quality, particularly with pizza toppings and pasta temperatures. While some guests laud the attentive service and delightful surprises for special occasions, others suggest improvements in menu variety and server engagement. Overall, guests express a willingness to return, hoping for a more polished experience in this inviting neighborhood Italian restaurant.

Best test of the best pizza places are the Margherita. Purest of all recipes. Decent crust but extremely meager toppings (actually, very stingy with the toppings on the 4 kinds of pizza we ordered). Tomatoes were pale and tasteless. Hardly any 'homemade ' mozzarella anywhere. A few pieces of basil. Horrible. Basically a little olive oil on a cracker. Yuck. Very, very disappointed. Will not return. I would suggest to the chef that if you can 't get good, flavorful tomatoes (difficult in Tucson, apparently), cook them into a tasty sauce and use that instead of sliced tomato pieces, be generous with your mozzarella and save the Margherita.

We really like Zona 78. We ask for Tiffany to be our server and she takes great care of us! Both the atmosphere and the food are great.

Met friends out for a holiday get together. Just four of us. I was thrilled to see a gluten free option for the pasta dishes. I had it with the Bolognese and it was very good. Our server was very nice and attentive. A very pleasant evening.

This is our favorite restaurant in tucson: eat, service and price.

Had Res. Requesting booth. Sat at a upholstered bench table next to food prep area. Asked about empty booths away from noise and was told they were reserved. Ordered pizza and shrimp pasta. Half pizza arrived and was told the rest fell on the floor and they were making a new. 10 minutes later pasta shrimp arrived. Luke warm and pasta was still clumped together. Pizza came. Requested the pasta shrimp be sent back as it had COLD pasta and shrimp areas in the food. Pizza was finished and the pasta shows up, hot. Finished the pasta and the waiter felt so bad he suggested providing compensation for the crappy food. This is not the first time dinning here but may try it one more time to see if it was a one off issue or their quality has diminished since we started going there .
