Still on my quest to find the best strawberry shortcake on LI. There’s a lot of well known popular bakeries on LI that make stale cakes, this bakery is the first cake that isn’t stale which is a huge plus in my book.This strawberry shortcake is 9.0/10Buttercream frosting perfect amount of sweetness, and perfect amount of fluff.Sponge layer cake right amount of moisture. The picture looks like it’s dry but it isn’t. Could be slightly more spongy.Strawberry filling It’s a bit too sweet and bit too thick. I’d say make it 10% less sweet and 15% less thick to make this cake perfect.

Accidentally found gem--fabulous in every way! The day before Easter, I tried to pick up a lemon meringue pie that I thought I ordered there. I actually ordered it from another bakery. The owner could not have been nicer to me despite my annoyed demeanor and him believing I likely had the wrong place. He made the pie just for me and delivered it to my house an hour and a half later. Everything looked and smelled incredibly delicious; and, their kindness went above and beyond. It was obvious to me that they care about their products and their customers very much. I sent my son there for a fruit tart the next day. It was exceptional. I have been there since and plan to go there often although it is not local for me. The bread has that special crisped finish that only happens when baked in a brick oven. It and the other items I purchased were wonderful. Don't miss trying this lovely shop with old-world charm. Thank you to everyone there.

Absolutely delicious! The berry pretzel was perfectly crispy, with just the right amount of fruit to complement, not overwhelm. The chocolate croissant had a crispy exterior and a soft, tender interior. Even the coffee was delightful. I wish I could be a regular here!
