Closer To The Vine - Punta Gorda

While the furniture and ambience was nice and enjoyable the service and menu was quite the opposite. The area itself was very clean but it took a while for the tables to be cleared after guests had left. The service altogether was scattered and the owner seemed more concerned with certain tables than others. The best part of my meal was the three tiny slivers of melon that came with my stale chips and dry panini. Overall the meal was small and certainly not worth the ten dollars I spent on it as I was still hungry afterwards. The owner was extremely knowledgeable about the wine choices however. If you're into wine or want to know more about it I'd recommend Closer to the Vine. Otherwise I'd say Skip It.
