Prego By The Beach

The Italian cuisine at this restaurant is truly excellent. One highlight is being able to customize the pasta type for certain dishes. I opted for the crab pasta but switched it out for gnocchi, as pictured, and it was fantastic. The appetizers were also flavorful and satisfying.

I recently rediscovered my love for pasta at Prego in Phuket. The blue crab pasta was superb and the Tomyam seafood was delicious. The bread was served cold, but that was fine with me as I am watching my carb intake. I had almost forgotten about this Italian restaurant, Prego. I used to frequent it in Singapore until the quality dropped or maybe my taste buds just weren't excited by the food anymore. Overall, a mixed experience. #foodie #restaurantreview

This Italian restaurant located within the Westin Siray Bay Resort Spa Phuket is a fantastic dining option. The menu offers a delicious variety of dishes and the staff are friendly and attentive. It is the perfect choice for guests who wish to dine at the resort.

Quiet upscale restaurant where you can hear the waves crashing softly on the beach while enjoying fine italian food. We were one of only two couples in the restaurant this night. We had a dinner pack included in our room package and could choose 3 courses from a simplified menu. The courses was much simpler than ordinary menu but still tasty. We got seared tuna for starter, chicken confit for mains and italian ice cream for dessert. Yummi. But the main menu has much more variety and delicious courses... Prices are high (for thailand) with pastas for 500 , mains 500-700 and a glass of vine for 500 , sparkling water for 300 but then again this is a high end resort so not unexpected. Means vat and service added

Tried the less formal version of Prego.. Prego by the beach. More like a pool side eatery with it's formality and loud pop music. The buffet was set up to celebrate the Thai Songkran festival so there's still some instances of people shooting water guns at each other. Foodwise, the BBQ seafood n meat were pretty good, especially the beef kababs and grilled squid/prawns. The aglio aglio pasta wasn't half bad either with strong flavours of garlic and Thai basil. Still, it's wasn't really that Italian in the overall sense to be honest. Rkn will try the proper Prego next time round
