Pondus - Aarhus

Super nice atmosphere in Pondus, unfortunately the food lived in no way up to our expectations. We ordered the menu with 5 dishes and it was unfortunately first about the dessert our taste buds woke up. It was also very delicious and perfectly perfectly composed. The rest of the menu was characterized by very neutral taste experiences.

Don’t really love the right but the rest was top-class.

Pondus is a hidden gem next to the canal in Aarhus. We loved it! The ”Bistro style place, specializes in farm to table with primarily organic/Danish ingredients. The tasting menu featured five courses all paired well with flavorful wines. The price is spot on with the service and quality of meal. The menu changes seasonally and the chef is accommodating for vegetarians and pescetareans. The standout appetizers and the braised free range pork belly and fried turbot tacos were outstanding! The service and knowledgeable staff really made the evening enjoyable. Pondus earns my five stars and glad to see a Michelin Bib Gourmand.

A really nice place. We were curious to see if the reviews matched our experiences. And they did. The food was super delicious. The service was very accommodating. Pondus is definitely worth a visit

A food experience beyond the usual. We got 3 small delicious snacks and a 4-course menu, which was just the game. (perhaps a little too much beetroot in the dessert) Still, 5 stars from here. Chose their white Mercurey, La Brigadiére 2021 for the menu which was a good match. Really attentive and sweet, service minded staff.
