Ferryhill Tavern - Aberdeen City

Nicely located just 10 minutes walking from the city centre lies The Ferryhill house, with brown cafe, restaurant, white chambers and a nice breakfast. We have had the chamber just up to the front entrance. Room was fine; spacy, nice bed and bathroom. Noise outside the room can be a bit noisy.

Went for breakfast, really enjoyed our meal. The outdoor area is great too! Could benefit from having a screen for matches in the summer outside but all great apart from that.

Additionally, the location is not right in the city center, so if you don't have a car, it requires a fair walk or bus ride to get to any attractions. This means you’ll have to dine in the hotel unless you have transportation, as there are no shops nearby. Breakfast was great for the most part, although on our last day, the omelette resembled a pile of melted cheese (see the first and last photos). Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and the staff were very friendly.

I visited this restaurant yesterday with my wife and daughter. We were seated at a table and given menus, but then we waited for about 10-15 minutes without anyone coming to check on us—not even to take our drink orders. I've always experienced excellent service here in the past, so this was quite disappointing. We ended up leaving in frustration.

If you're in search of delicious food, excellent service, and a wonderful beer garden that also accommodates kids, head to the Ferryhill House Hotel. Whether you're enjoying a casual drink and lunch with friends, celebrating a family event, or organizing a corporate outing, the staff will take care of everything. It's truly fantastic. If the weather is nice, be sure to reserve a table in the beer garden and don’t forget your sunscreen, as it's a perfect sun trap.
