Grandys - Abilene

I wish there was another grandy in our town. This is pretty good. We had to wait a little longer than expected for the chicken strip dinner. 3 dinners came to the table, and we were doing quite a lot when the chicken strips appeared for my granddaughter. I would have preferred it. That was the only attitude. The food is good, fresh and plentiful. Overall a good experience and we have completely left.

Awesome cinnamon rolls...if you like yours stale and without icing! Same penny pinching owner. Saturday breakfast advertised until 11:00, yet at 10:45 I was informed they were not serving breakfast. Manager said they were out of rolls, and I told her that I didn't have to have rolls. She still didn't offer to serve a breakfast without rolls. I would have bought two Grande breakfasts but was ended up purchasing two cinnamon rolls instead. Where I work we call that a lost sale. I miss the old Grandy's at the south side location! Great manager and super-courteous staff! That's why they always were much busier. I won't be back unless owner sells the business.

Was looking for an alternative to the usual breakfast joints in the area- my uncle and I have breakfast out after his radiation treatments at Hendricks the past 8 weeks. This place is NOT IT! Coffee came foamy out of carafe; and tasted like chemicals. Decided not to argue with the ladies about what my uncle actually ordered. Pepsi is not Coke. Scrambled eggs were old n cold. Hash brown was like a hockey puck. Run! Go elsewhere!

Got Grandy’s for dinner got the chicken fried chicken. the chicken was raw when i waited for fresh chicken. definitely NOT OKAY. please check your food before serving it!!

Grandys can be fast food, but it never tasted like fast food! Nevertheless, the best yeast rolls out there, chicken fried steak, potatoes w/cream gravy, and green beans. I have never found a fast food place that has green beans like Grandy's!!! There are not even some regular restaurants that have green beans to match Grandy's!
