Angar - Abu Dhabi

We are a family of 5. we have said to our son, we would eat italian, but we wandered in angar because of the beautiful furnishings. we were thrilled to eat here, but the manager could see the disappointment over the face of our life. After learning the ground, he offered to choose it from the Italian menu next door, while the rest of us Indian dishes at angar eat! That was great! the courts were amazing. we loved the lamb biryani (the lamb was soou tender), the butter huh and the huh tikka. the chaat was full of smells. the service in the evening was impeccable.

The Angar at the W and Mr Sagar, what an amazing combination. One of them is our favourite Indian restaurant and the other is our favourite host in the world. The Angar is our first stop when we stay at the W Abu Dhabi. We found booking a table, quick and availability was good. We started the dinner with some delicious appetisers; the lamb kebabs, popadoms and some delicious vegetable things the wife ordered. Upon ordering the main dishes, which is normally butter chicken, our host Sagar, suggested an off-the-menu item, where I would be a select few asked to taste test it. My feedback would be valuable and be passed onto the chef. I was honoured and so agreed. The dish was their new chicken tikka masala. The dish was presented to the table and it looked beautiful. I was relieved that it was not an unnatural red concoction that is the norm in the UK. The sauce was thicker than usual and had a beautiful orange/brown colour, garnished with slivers of different coloured peppers. The curry was complimented with biriyani rice. Once the mixture of rice and curry entered my mouth, my taste buds came alive. It was totally delicious, the sauce had a lovely consistency, one could taste the cumin and other spices, that were skilfully blended. The chicken was so succulent and deeply smoky. The butteriness of the rice worked in perfect unison with all the flavours of the curry. I cannot wait for the chicken tikka masala to be available on the menu (I am told it’ll be rolled out in September). Sagar and the team were wonderful as usual and delivered a service that was beyond this world. When dessert time arrived, Sagar went above and beyond. The restaurant had no coconut ice cream, yet he went on a personal quest to procure some, which completely surprised us. This was all presented to us on a special tray with a beautiful message welcoming us back. We ate until not a single morsel was left and left knowing that we were fully content. Thank you Angar!

Chetan and Rohith couldn't have been more attentive. The prices were reasonable. The avocado Chaat was heavenly.

Our experience there was absolutely family as due to the carefulness of herrn neeraj who went beyond and beyond to ensure that we have an amazing dinner with delicious food and fast service. lamb dishes are one of the best in the city. look for mr. neeraj for a wonderful experience cheeers.

Excellent food golgappa chat by chef vineet bhatia was amazing. excellent service by sagar. he was very humble, polite and made our day with special celebration the birthday of our sohne. must visit angar on the island w hotel yas, fully satisfied
