--- I recently decided to revisit Amala Connect, a place that has captured my heart in this lovely city. This past week, it was top of my list and turned out to be a delightful discovery. Established in 2012, Amala Connect has expanded to multiple locations, including three in Abuja, with a mission to serve authentic African delicacies — and they certainly deliver! I enjoyed a delicious meal of amala, ewedu, and gbegiri, accompanied by assorted meats, cow skin, and goat meat. True to its name, the food was not only tasty but also extremely filling. I complemented my meal with refreshing drinking water. The restaurant maintains high cleanliness standards and adheres to COVID-19 protocols, ensuring safe seating arrangements. The decor is vibrant, with colorful chairs and tables that enhance the dining experience in a peaceful environment. The variety of local dishes is impressive, and the customer service is commendable — efficient and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is cozy and airy, and my meal was served piping hot thanks to their deep heat cookers. They also have two wash basins available. While Amala Connect attracts many patrons, like any establishment, they are always looking to welcome more guests. It’s an excellent spot for lunch with friends or even business meetings, depending on the customers' preferences. **Location:** 118 Gwamna Awam Street, behind Zenith Bank, in front of First Street, Gwarinpa, Abuja. P.S. They offer catering services and have a delivery service with standby bikes. You can order from a selection of nine different soups based on what’s available. The restaurant is open from 8 AM to 8 PM. They also have two branches in Lugbe that serve as their headquarters, offering both continental and African dishes. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention their VIP lounge, which features air conditioning, a TV, and a wash basin with liquid soap. For a local eatery, I’d give Amala Connect a solid 9/10.
