George Howell Coffee - Acton

I used to enjoy this place for their excellent coffee, but I've recently experienced some frustrating customer service issues with their online store. My order was never delivered, and my emails went unanswered. I also tried calling customer service, but they never returned my calls. It feels impossible to resolve any issues. I'm very disappointed, especially since I've been a loyal customer for a long time.

Wow, I just brewed the Paltaypampa in my V60, and it’s incredible! This coffee is bursting with flavor and extremely smooth. I really feel like I’ve finally found the coffee I’ve been looking for. If you have the opportunity, you should definitely try it!

This place is primarily a coffee roaster, not a café. If you're serious about quality beans, it’s the best option in the area. Their Jardin decaf is superior to most regular espresso beans. If you’re someone who drowns a latte in a ton of syrup, you probably won’t appreciate the taste of the espresso anyway, so I find the comments about preferring Starbucks amusing. Try tasting espresso side by side, and you’ll be amazed at how good George Howell really is.

Saw this location in Acton under yelp for coffee roasters, familiar with George Howell product but upon showing up The guy at the door turned me away at the door saying they don't do any coffee sales in person at all, gave me zero direction on where to get their product locally, and was just generally kind of succinct and uninterested in providing any customer service. I guess I won't be buying their product then. Seriously get a clue, if you want my money tell me how I can give it to you. Don't just turn me away at the door like I'm an inconvenience to you, just an interruption in your day. They charge dim near double for some of their coffee then most of the local roasts around here, so instead of supporting the snobs that don't give a **** about their customers, go to a local roaster that does.

Website is horrible. No email confirmation of gift certificate purchased. A piece of paper is mailed. Web cart subtotal was minus 10 dollars. Coffee itself is nothing special. Dark roasts are still medium bodied. Nothing like a dark roast at Starbucks.
