Polo's Authentic Mexican - Ada

We usually like coming here for lunch before work but this time was just not great. Waitress was smiling at other tables and scowling at our table and we’re pretty sure it was because we asked for separate checks. And when we told her that my plate was wrong, first thing she asked was “would you like me to get the manager?” Like I’m not mad, I would just like what I ordered. I’m sorry but do better next time.

There is nothing about the food that tastes authentic. Even the seasonings were off!

Carne asada just taste like soy sauce soo if that's all you like to taste get that. Chicken chimichanga... was very dry and plain. Guacamole for sure is the highlight of the meal.... it will help you forget they serve you pizza sauce instead of salsa. None of the kids seemed thrilled with the enchiladas (ground beef). Pass on the Mexican potatoes...

This place has been an institution since i was a child. They used to have amazing tex mex made so well. Sadly, they have gone far downhill. You can tell they have lost their love for their craft. Their heart is no longer in it. Time for them to ose or find someone who will do better.

We almost always have a great experience here, but in the past there were some times where the waiter would either forget to check on us or just not care. We are not sure why. A couple of times our orders were made incorrectly, but we never really made a fuss because for the most part, it was mostly correct. The staff is usually friendly and attentive, but sometimes they may fail at that. I hope this still isn't the case in the future.
