The Gates Restaurant - ADAMSTOWN

Love the gates. Great snitzels with an assortment of toppings weeknights. Great $10 lunches through the week. Easy parking. Great staff.

We have been driving past this hotel/restaurant for years and never gave it a second glance. Our mistake! We recently visited the restaurant with a large group and were astounded by the service, meals and price. All exceptional. Even the coffee was hot, you can't ask for more than that. The best thing though was the fact that our meals were not made up of a little bit of what we ordered and filled up with chips. It was all nicely balanced. We will return, in other words no more driving past, we will park and enter.

Friendly staff, generous sized meals, value for money all in one pub.The beer is always cold and a good selection.The food specials are worth a try but hard to go past the steak menu here or the Rump & Ribs if you are hungry. The prices are low.... and have been for years.... such value for $$ is rare....Kids meals well priced too.The venue is always always busy, so make sure you get in early or book.Never been disappointed here and my out of town visitors always suggest we go back to the Gates for dinner when they visit.Love this place

We popped in here to try their advertised specials which were a $10 rump steak or a snitzel . The service was quick considering the amount of people there and the meal size was quite good. Good value meal in a nice environment .????

My partner and i decided to give The Gates hotel a 2nd chance but we had the same problem as the first time. The food took a hour to be served and my partners meal was over cooked and mine which was spose to be sizzling garlic prawns was not sizzling at all and as i ordered it as a main they just stuck the extra prawns in a separate dish with no sauce and as they had no sause the prawns were cold and over cooked. Also my bread was burnt so to eat it i had to soak it in what sauce i had.The only good thing about this place was the service staff the laddies did a great job.
