Baglio San Vincenzo - AGRIGENTO

We stayed at this beautiful hacienda hotel recently carefully chosen to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It proved to be a perfect choice. Set amongst vineyards and olive groves, the whole property, which produces excellent wine and olive oil, is immaculate and very well run. We were warmly welcomed and that empathy remained throughout our stay indeed, the whole spirit of the place is set by the hostess and her lovely staff, who are all to be congratulated on running a truly magical establishment. Highlights were without doubt, the setting, the peace (there were few other guests, who in the main, were as peaceful as the environment) the food and wine both of which were excellent and last but by no means least, the hostess and staff. Everyone's tastes differ and you will read other reviews that are less eulogistic. I agree with the criticisms regarding the bedrooms, which are somewhat basic for the price and the showers certainly need updating. However basic, the rooms are comfortable and (in my opinion), you don't go to such places to stay in your room! So, notwithstanding the last paragraph, Baguio San Vincenzo remains one of the most delightful hotels we have ever stayed in and we will most definitely be back.
