Írjon visszajelzéstUsually I'm not one for hype but we were interested when we saw Korean fried chicken in Durham. Moving here from Toronto, we really missed staples like MYmy chicken and other Korean chicken places along Yonge! This place is the first place I can say rivals and is BETTER than what Toronto offers for the same. It's so good! Crunchy outside and juicy inside even when it is just the thigh, no bones. Outside crunch reminds me of Vietnamese fish sauced wings. We tried the yeongnam (sp? and the soy chilli garlic. The soy is nice and light coat with actually really spicy chilli! The yeongnam is a unique sweet and tangy sauce that is a bit fermented. Think like kind of a sweet tang miso kind of aftertaste but better! The half chicken comes with a lot! This regularly sells out so order when you can. Every order comes with radish and pop.
Service is really good: friendly and efficient. You do need to can ahead to place an order for the chicken and it was ready on time, which was great. Ordered the Soy Garlic chicken and it was flavourful. Smelled so good, too! Super tempted to just dig in as I was driving! Lol The Filipino spaghetti was really good too. My daughter ate 2 helpings : The lumpia was perfect. Not greasy. Crispy, too. Still tasted really good a few hours later; crispness was retained. The pancit was ok. A bit bland for my liking. But everything else I'd definitely order again and again! There was even a nice surprise of a mask with filter in the take out bag.
I saw a thing online about this places Korean Fried Chicken. I was shocked that they werea scheduling fried chicken hours ahead of time. But it was worth the effort, it was delicious.
A Filipino restaurant that was once known for great boodle fights and homey feel that takes any filipino back to their childhood growing up in the Philippines. Family owned and ran resto. Now serving up durham regions, i believe first ever place to be for korean fried chicken. Seriously juicy and tasty chicken that has taken durham region residents by storm. Better get your orders in on time every day cus they sell out of the chicken every day. I mean just look at the pi tires :
I was super excited to find out about this place as I find that Durham Region can be lacking in good Asian food (I think it's slowly getting better! . After reading numerous reviews, I called in advance to place my pickup order for Korean fried chicken. We got two half orders of the original and the soy garlic. Well the place definitely lived up to the hype. The crunch and the good quality chicken was delicious! The soy garlic had a bit of a kick as it was sprinkled with chilis. I was mopping up the scrumptious glaze with the chicken, it was so good!
