Mugendo - Akita

Their Teishoku lunch (boxed meal) is value for money at a little more than 1000. It includes sashimi, tempura, inaniwa udon (Akita’s famous while noodle) various side vegetables and rice. It also includes coffee. They have limited numbers of this each day.

Great Inaniwa Udon to go around Akita. Cheap and quick, though a lil far from station but around a nice neighborhood with nice local stores.

Beautiful restaurant with amazing food, we tried traditional kiritanpo which was interesting. But Akita beef sukiyaki udon was a star, cheese spring rolls were good too. Menu in Japanese only but with pictures, so very easy to order. Recommend

This is THE PLACE for traditional Japanese cuisine in Akita City. It's close enough to Akita station for a walk, but also not so close to the station that it has high food prices. I feel that the atmosphere of the restaurant is also very classy and quiet, but you can also have large groups dining here, too.

Quality food with decent dining room. Local Akita dishes are available. Free parking is available.
