Big Star Pizza - Akron

I’ve been going to this place since I was 12 and the quality has been on point since then. I recommend the ham and pepperoni stromboli. These guys are super nice too.

Discovered this place a couple months ago. Have ordered the NY Style a handful of times now, and it’s been perfect every time. Drive from Highland Square in Akron for this pie. Thin, crispy, the perfect sauce to cheese ratio. Great homemade dough. Big Star is doing things right. Hard to eat anything else after having this. edit 3/13 Added a sausage sandwich w marinara and mozzarella to my order today. Excellent

First time getting food here. Got a couple pizzas for carry out and they were really good. The New York thin style was definitely my favorite. I'd give it an 8.7. Light crispy crust and the sauce...the sauce was on another level. I could drink that stuff straight. Perfect amount of cheese and pepperoni. Also got a Chicago deep dish and it was just fine,a reasonable 7. It was maybe a little overcooked but nothing that bothered me. They were really busy so I won't that against them. The family that runs the place are fantastic. As busy as they were, they still talked to the customers and were making funny jokes. I will definitely be coming back. Next time I have to try the pasta. If that sauce is as good as the pizza sauce, I'll be in a carb coma.

Best pizza in Copley/Norton/Wadsworth area! If you prefer Marcos or any other cheap chain pizza over Big Star then this wasn’t the place for you anyway

Best pizza around, far superior to any pizza chain. Barely any grease, so flavorful and delicious. Awesome subs and desserts, too!
