Well worth it! Even while walking the sketchy streets. The fresh ingredients he uses taste amazing and make a huge difference. One of the best pizzas I've ever had anywhere.

With such great reviews, we were excited to try this place on our last night in CR. We walked up and down several alleys where the map showed it to be with no success. While we were searching, the owner rode up on bike, having heard we were looking for his pizza. He opened up his shop for us, served up coconut waters. Cracking open 3 cold coconuts and setting them atop glasses. He brought us out Caprese Salads and some fresh made focaccia bread. The basil was the best I have ever tasted. Like really. Like really really. Somehow magical red smoothies appeared to wash them down. He then proceeded to made us one of the best pizzas we have ever eaten. Unbelievable experience, and one of the highlights of our time in CR. Thank you so much!

Amazing farm to the table Bio Pizza Shop! Love the atmosphere and the cook is very knowledgeable. Delicious food. Total underground grocery store every guest San Jose has to try 10/10 recommends especially the Margarita Pizza
