Albany Lodge

Sam was our guide for our 4x4 half day ride and he was awesome! He was so kind to our group and a true professional the whole day. He was very knowledgeable about the National Forest and went above and beyond for our group. Would highly recommend the experience and with Sam as your guide, it would be top notch!Additionally, we had lunch and post ride beers at the lodge restaurant and both the service and food were 5 stars! Couldn’t have had a better day at Albany Lodge!

The house, Aspen Hollow was nice. It’s huge. Beautiful view of the babbling brook, nestled among the aspens. The house was clean inside, but the outside was filthy. Overall it was comfortable , however there were so many little details they missed that would make for a pleasant stay. The kitchen is lacking a few things you need. They have a stack of DVDs and the only player is a VCR. The bulb in the fridge was out. none of the TV remotes worked. There was coffee, but no sugar. And worst of all, no Wifi. It’s common place to have service. Even if the house isn’t connected, the guest wifi in the lodge should have been. When we asked, all we got was excuses. 2 days and still nothing. It was frustrating. The staff especially, Christine was nice, but totally helpless. And there was no one of authority to speak to.Noteworthy details: Sam at the off road vehicle rental shop was super friendly. Great guy.

Only have eaten at the restaurant! But it is pretty yummy! Only complaint is that the first time we were there we ate some yummy food and the 2nd time we went there 2 weeks later the menu had changed and some items were missing that we wanted to get again! So we tried new items that were equally good but was kinda disappointed that the spicy wrap I had gotten the first time was no longer available.

What an amazing experience and place to be if you're looking for some off-road adventure! This lodge has some amazing food and an incredible atmosphere with super awesome staff! The only concern i had was that it was very warm at night and we didnt bring fans since the cabins do not have acFood drinks: The food was absolutely awesome!

We had a fun all day UTV rental with Albany Lodge. The location is very close to the trails and there are many to choose from and awesome scenery. The things keeping me from a 5 star review are 1) the super nice guy working there couldn't give us any direction on where to ride. 2) Also no direction on what Avenza map we could download. 3) Lastly, the Polaris GPS system worked about 50% of the time. A paper map saved the day and we rode 50 miles and made it back on time. I'd go back!
