O Marinheiro - Albufeira

We were walking past this restaurant on the way to another (as we thought this was shut in a Monday) and when we saw it was open we tried our luck and they had a table for us for dinner and were very accommodating. The staff were all super friendly, attentive and helpful, the atmosphere was really good, and the food was out of this world. The Portuguese fillet steak was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had, if not the best, and that’s having eaten at some of the top steak houses and Michelin star restaurants, it was so well seasoned and cooked, and the sauce it was cooked with was divine. We also had the John Dory medley which was also excellent, perfectly cooked and seasoned with great textures and flavours. The cocktails were also immense, and the vinho verde delicious. All round a fantastic experience for the whole family and thoroughly recommended.

So glad we read the reviews and booked this restaurant. Very deserving of its Michelin status. Amazing food and amazing service! Absolutely recommend!

My wife and I have eaten here twice now, both times exceptional. Our server Vera was fantastic. The menu is very creative and the food is as good as any we've had in the Algarve, including places priced much higher! We will make a third time when we're back in Albufeira.
