This encounter was out of the blue lunch drive back from Algarve to Lisbon. It’s an out of this world experience topping all my lunches to date. The place is unassuming as we were seated at the back patio. It felt like that I was in my aunt’s lunch party at the backyard. I was perturbed by where we are sat but I got a feel that it’s going to be great. And it turned out to be the best. Duck fried rice was a delight. The fatty duck that I would expect, the rice dish came back fluffy and original. The cod fish dish was very flaky that it can rival the crab cakes of Maryland. And to top, the rich flavor of the sauce complementing the succulent and flavorful pork dish was amazing. My friends was flabbergasted by the spontaneous choice that we made. The staff only speak of Portuguese but my Spanish friends managed to communicate with them.

Boa comida tradicional portuguesa num agradável ambiente campestre! Provámos as batatas fritas Bacalhau e Choco com batata frita. Também pedimos vinho, pão com azeitonas e manteiga. Falávamos apenas inglês e eles não falavam inglês, mas ainda assim conseguimos nos entender mostrando fotos do Google, usando algumas palavras-chave que escolhemos em outros restaurantes. E correu tudo bem, as pessoas foram simpáticas e calorosas.

Pausa de almoço, em viagem. A comida era muito boa carne portuguesa e arroz de pato. Muito bom vinho tinto da casa, bem como o pudim de ovos. O serviço atrasado, serviço e espaço em si, nada memorável.
