La Lanterna - Alessano

Extremely happy we followed our host’s advice and visited this lovely trattoria right in the city center. The menu is 100% Italian, with local ingredients and flavours. Fabio (the owner) is a lovely man, he didn’t even take our order and started to bring all the dishes in the menu a large bottle of red wine . We ate 6 appetisers and 3 main courses, all extremely good. The final check was incredibly small compared to the feast we had. Highly reccommended for those who don’t want to eat a la carte and like to be surprises with local dishes.

Totally unexpected restaurant down a quiet alley sat in the street. Asked for one drink but was served 6 local courses, along side a table of excellent local company. For such a small price so left a generous tip for the lovely Italian experience.

Very surprising diner, with a very kind owner! There is a daily menu, and however you might think that you would rather have a choice your own, this restaurant picks everything for you. But.. they serve you all the regional specialties you would like to try! The quality of the food is very good. They serve the food from the agritourismo’s from the area. A five star meal!

Simple local style, soft lights, fireplace on, home atmosphere. courtesy and kindness. great food, genuine and varied. Sit down and let yourself be pampered, you don't need to order, the owner delights you with all the menu available. small portions and you have the opportunity to get all the dishes, until dessert. Congratulations.
