Zoës Kitchen - Alexandria

Zoe’s is a pretty decent restaurant. My friends and I come here on most Tuesday evenings. Normally I order the lamb pita. This time I ordered the Greek salad with a side of lamb. The portions are a little small but food is consistent.

Luckily I got here early so I didn't have to wait on line to place my order. The reasonably priced healthy food makes this a popular lunch spot. My chicken kabob was $9.99 including two sides. Your food is delivered to your table. Nothing fancy. Just good food.

I enjoyed the speed of the service. The place was clean and music wasn't too loud. I ordered the 3 grain bowl, The falafel was super dry, reccomend to break it up into pieces and mix it in. Definitely will try them again.

I have never eaten at Zoes Kitchen. One problem is that while I do go to the shopping center by the time it opens I have visited the bank, or Rite Aid, have had lunch and have gone. So I decided to order delivery. At least I could pick a delivery service that was NOT Doordash. They use Postmates. They don 't have a delivery fee but they did have a small order fee. Either way it seems to be cheaper. Anyway I selected Chicken Kabob which came with two sides. I picked Pasta Salad and Potato Salad. And I also added a slice of Yaya 's hand made chocolate cake. There is a tracker which is pretty much useless. It showed the driver just going in circles around the restaurant. At least it has a timer or count down timer which seems to be correct. The driver was nice and did delivered the food in a reasonable amount of time. The salads, while looking small, was really packed in the containers. The Chicken was great, the Pasta salad was better than most I have had, and the Potato salad was disappointingly bland. Funny enough normally I find Pasta salads bland and love Potato salad. But I have to say, being honest, I have had better Potato Salad from Giant. The chocolate cake was good. Looked and tasted more like a brownie which I have no problem with. I saw a picture of it before ordering so I was not surprised. But if you hoping for a huge slice of CAKE cake well, not going to happen. So one star away for the Potato Salad but that 's it.

Would be four stars, but they removed the pimento cheese sandwich when they updated the menu, which was one of the main reasons we came here. (But they still sell pimento cheese spread in the cooler? Probably won't eat here as often now. Bummer. The rest of the menu is still great though! (Photo is the steak piadina with Greek salad side
