Mcalister's Deli - Algonquin

I had the Italian sandwich for the first time. I truly believe it was one if the best Italian sandwiches I've ever had. They really pile on the meat, peppers, cheese, olives, etc. and dressing. Everything tasted fresh and well proportioned for a greattasting sandwich. The service here is also great.

This was my first time visiting and buying food at McAlister's Deli. I've always heard it was a good place but never had the opportunity to visit. I ordered the McAlister's Club sandwich with a side of potato salad (for me), the Ultimate Nachos (for myteenager), and the Uncrustables PB&J with a side of applesauce and a root beer (for my toddler). Total cost $24. The food wasgreat. Everything tasted fresh. The presentation of the food showed that care was taken with each part of our order. Everybodyenjoyed their meal. High marks on the Ultimate Nachos. It looked fantastic and my teenager said she loved it. If you likenachos, I recommend trying it. The employees are very nice. I have a gluten allergy and the cashier walked me through my orderof the McAlister Club so I could have it on gluten-free bread. I'll be coming back here for lunch again.

The staff was attentive and fast. Food was 4 out of 5 stars but the Cesar salad tasted like something from a salad kit you make at home. Nothing special. On the other hand the Mac and cheese was rich and creamy and super delicious. Great new option for the McHenry County area!

A delicious, well portioned sandwich. I got the New Yorker which has spicy mustard, cheese, and 10oz of meat on it. Serviced with a choice of side: chips, Cole slaw, potato salad, or mac and cheese. Also Congress with a pickle, which was fresh and crunchy. They offer a pick-two of their salads and sandwiches. Lots of gluten free options, vegetarian options as well.

Delicious lunch. Perfect portion sizes. Friendly staff. Could use a bit more attention to cleaning tables as there are no garbage cans for the guests to cleanup after themselves. Would go again.
