Friendly staff and the place is beautiful. food was below average and very very expensive, not worth it, not gonna spend my money in this place again

A really nice restaurant full of history! Definitely check it out if you're in Algiers!

Very unadvised to eat, they served us fish that had a nauseous smell, it felt the rotten fish from very far. The server took it back without even apologizing and served nothing in return. We've been out of business, and we've almost ended up intoxicated. Frankly Inacceptable

Good reception. As for meals we did not like our dishes, the olive oil in the couscous being too strong.

Wow, the couscous here is beyond delicious! One night I had lamb, the next chicken (both not the prettiest presentation, but basic is good in this case . The order comes with a big tureen of vegetable soup that you spoon over the couscous, it’s a meal in itself. The staff is animated and opinionated— they refused to accede to our request for white wine with our lamb, insisting that their Algerian “President” red was the best to order (or maybe they were out of stock of white wine? — it did go perfectly.
