The Boiling Crab - Alhambra

If you don't mind waiting 30 minutes to an hour, you'll be rewarded with deliciously spiced seafood that will tantalize your taste buds.

We wanted to dine in, but the host told us there was a one-hour wait. However, I noticed there were five open tables behind him. Two other women walked in, and he told them it would be a ten-minute wait. I couldn't help but notice the difference in treatment—I’m Hispanic, and they were white. That’s why we ended up getting our food to go. I won’t be returning to this restaurant again.

My daughter took me here for lunch on my birthday, and they even sang Happy Birthday to me!

Overall, the boiling crab is definitely a dining experience to get messy with your hands to eat some very tasty seafood. The ambience is just OK. It doesn’t really have much of a energetic vibe inside. As long as you go with good company, then the experience of smashing and cracking crabs, lobsters, and other items on your table makes the experience fun. The food was very good and it’s exactly what you would expect it to taste like. I would definitely come back to this restaurant again. I only gave a four star rating because I just didn’t like the overall layout of the restaurant with a wall separating the two sides. It would look a lot nicer if everythingwas open.

Never disappoints! Micheladas are amazing if like a little spicy. Friendly and prompt service.
