Bistro Anju - Aliso Viejo

Visit a few times, sit at the counter and take some time to get to know the boss/owner. They won't be disappointed. During my last visit, I'm pretty sure everything he did for us was in the menu. Unbelievable experience. I don't think I can do justice to the freshness of the ingredients, how much he thought in the taste and texture combinations of every dish, or how much of the touch of an artist was given to the presentation, so my pictures need to be sufficient until you visit. If your idea of sushi is spicy tuna rolls and bomb lovers, go somewhere else. This is sushi prepared and served with soul, and a real desire to see you enjoy every bite.

I dine in this great spot often! This is my favorite spot to eat. I go to this spot at least once a month. The cooking is of high quality, the workers are helpful and the cost is affordable. I enjoy going in this restaurant over a tasty meal.

First tried this gem three years ago at the old location. The omakase was fantastic one of the best lamb chops ever, and at a sushi place! We have returned several times, most recently for lunch. The lunch specials are wonderful. Tonight we are going back for dinner rather than somewhere new or super fancy. LOVE IT!

We've been devouring Hideki san's sushi for years! Great quality. The focus is on taste, not over the top rolls. Children are welcome, too. Not a large restaurant, but it is family run, cozy, and comfortable.

I wanted to support a local Asian business this past weekend during the stay-at-home order and went with Bistro Anju because I was craving sushi. I went with their Sushi Omakase which is about $30. You can order through Doordash or directly with them for pick-up. Since I just live around the corner, I opted to go to the restaurant and order takeout. The restaurant is closed for dine-in customers but you can still order for takeout. The sushi omakase comes with salad and miso soup. It was really filling and hit the spot for me. If you have a hankering for sushi, do yourself a favor and go order from them. The sushi is made to order and fresh. Cheers!
