Bonnie Ruth's Bistro Francais - Allen

DO NOT COME HERE. GO TO THE BONNIE'S IN FRISCO. If I could give this place less than one star I would. I am so disappointed and upset. I ordered a peanut butter chocolate cake on the Bonnie Ruths Allen website, on Sunday, October to be ready for pick up on Wednesday October I left instructions stating that we would pick it up on Wednesday Oct at and received a confirmation email (also saw that it was deducted from my account). On Oct we went to pick up the cake and the gentleman at the front desk said sorry, we don't have any order under that order number or name When asking to speak to the manager he stated that the manager wasn't there and wouldn't be back until the next day (so we couldn't get a refund). This didn't help our situation because the birthday party was later that day so we were offered an old cake that had been sitting out. The cake was poorly put together because the top layer was tilted and sort of lop sided and the cake tasted old. When calling the next day and asking to speak to the manager, she was pleasant and offered to refund me for the cake after I explained the situation and said she would call me back the next day to process it. I haven't received a call back and it has been over two weeks. I have tried to call on multiple occasions throughout the past two weeks during business hours but have gotten a busy-line beeping noise (I even called before posting this review). I paid ahead of time expecting quality and ended up getting stiffed. I am disgusted with the customer service and will NOT be coming back here again.

We love Bonnie Ruth's! The food is amazing and the desserts are phenomenal (esp the Carrot Cake! We love the ambiance. And the staff is always friendly and the restaurant is extremely clean. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place!

I have really, really wanted to give this location as many chances as possible, but today was terrible enough to finally leave a review. We have been coming here since this location opened always to be a bit disappointed in something. But French food and good mussels are so hard to come by. We showed up for our reservation a bit early this morning and visited the restroom. By the time my daughter and I were done we were greeted by the rest of our group. This time we were sat in a booth on the opposite side of a kiosk that about half a dozen servers were constantly congregating at and hiding behind. The server took out of orders completely wrong and I had to get up twice to leave my toddler with our guests to get another server to help us. The food took minutes from the time we ordered eggs, pancakes and omelets. Refire took only or so which is why I'm giving stars. My last straw was that whatever was used to clean the floors and/or booth terribly bleached my brand new black dress and now it's completely ruined. Sorry Bonnie Ruth's. I tried desperately to love you but you just kept making rookie mistakes that should have been fixed long ago.

My salmon and asparagus were mediocre. My friend's tilapia was great, he said. Our waiter was very nice, but not very knowledgeable. Overall, it was an okay experience, but I am willing to give it another try.

Loved the date night special in Thursadys and Friday's . I had the Chicken Polliard and my husband had the steak medallions. Both great ! I had leftovers and couldn't wait to eat them for lunch !
