Fino - Allendale

1st time visit on mother in laws recommendation. I will say the the service was great. That is the one only thing this restaurant has going for it and why the 2 stars. It amazes me to see folks give this place raving reviews for food. My mother could not cut through her pork chops. My osso buco was like rubber. My son had one bite of his pasta bolognese and he was done. My wife the same with her eggplant parm. Is there anyone at this establishment that reacts to uneaten dishes going back into the kitchen wondering why the food they put out is being uneaten. In all honesty the food doesn’t even look appetizing when it comes out, so whoever is running this establishment must not care or is not aware of what is going on. Walked in with high expectations, with the place being crowed and the wait staff wearing ties, but there is no gourmet experience to be had here unfortunately. Once again, who are these folks raving about the food in this place.

My fiance and I recently had our engagement party at Fino and it was absolutely amazing! They were very accommodating throughout the planning process and graciously answered each and every question that we had. During the party, the staff was very attentive and on top of replenishing our drinks/getting food out in a timely manner, while also catering to another party and regular patrons. Additionally, they were more than happy to tackle cutting our cake, which ended up being significantly larger than we had expected. Overall, Fino was a fantastic venue to have our engagement party at and we would most definitely have a party here again!

On point service, suberb Italian food. We decided to go here because our normal restaurant is under construction. So happy we selected Fino. Prices are reasonable, portions are perfect and staff is friendly. Wait time is short, food did not take long to hit the table. We returned to Fino on Feb 20, 2023 and they haven't missed a beat. The Food is so delicious and the service is impeccable.

They do not honor reservations even though they say they do for parties of 6 or more. It was our friends birthday, and I had made a reservation here a week ahead of time. When we got to the restaurant, there were people waiting outside, and the little vestibule inside was packed with people. When we finally got up to the desk to let them know that we were there, the maître d’ was very rude, and seemed, not to care that we had a reservation. In this day and age of Covid, the flu and RSV, you would think they would be a little bit more considerate, and not have people waiting in a packed entrance. We ended up leaving and going to a local steakhouse which was soooo much better. I will never go back to this restaurant again, and I would recommend other people not to bother because they really don’t care.

Very impressed food was phenomenal service was even better. Everyone is looking for help-this place must be doing something right the waiters were very attentive. Will definitely be back.
