Írjon visszajelzéstMy wife and I had not eaten at the Bruny Hotel, previously the Alonnah Pub, for about 20 years. The last time we were there, believe it or not, you couldn't get any local seafood. How times have changed. We took the opportunity to come across from the big island specifically for lunch and try the Bruny Hotel after hearing some excellent reports of their menu. How pleasing it is to be able to say that these reports were absolutely spot on. The service was quick, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful staff. The dishes, fish of the day in beer batter and chowder were generous in the extreme, beautifully presented, fresh, not to mention delicious. My only complaint was that my main course could have fed three, while my wife's small chowder was a meal in itself, leaving little or no room to enjoy a great dessert menu. Thank you guys, it won't be such a long time before we head back there again. Highly, highly recommended.
Beautiful meal, Dave and staff were very accommodating, friendly and sense of humour even though it was a packed dining room. With other patrons and passengers from day tours. Even colouring in for kids while waiting for meal which was huge and well worth the price. Thanks Hotel Bruny
Really well prepared food, well mostly....the gin and cucumber oysters were lovely, the calamari on the seafood platter was underdone. Waiter noticed when clearing and we soon had the manager i think it was Tess, apologies if not) at the table offering a few options and we went with dessert...all was forgiven after that. Beautifully prepared combination of mousse and icecream more than compensated for the squid. We are hospitality veterans and always appreciate good service and food . Well done Hotel Bruny
BEST Pub meal ever!!! Great service location. Highly recommend the Bruny Island Atlantic Salmon washed down with a Lime Sparkling with a hint of chilli from the Tasmanian Chilli Beer Co. If you get a chance also do the Cider tasting. I’m not normally a cider or apple juice drinker but theirs was divine!!
We had a wonderful two nights on Bruny Island. The Bruny Hotel was a highlight for us. The friendly staff couldn't do a enough to make us more welcome. The open fire was roaring and cosy, food was delicious and plenty of it. Booking a must very popular place for a great night, good food and fabulous staff. With other attractions on the Island we will be back.
