The Sand Grill - Alpena Township

The food I had was kind of boring, but the service was good, and you can't beat the view of Long Lake.

Liz was great. Good selection on the menu. It's surprisingly good. Under new management in April, I believe. I'd definitely come back. Menu is a little hard to read for some people. Needs a bigger font or re-organization of its contents. They didn't have the Buffalo chicken, pulled pork, or meatballs, which were all things I definitely would have liked to try. Maybe next time. For a place loaded with potential, it fell short. The bartender should be replaced. She was a real turn off as far as effort and demeanor. The additude and body language just screamed that she didn't like her job...? The place is up for sale and I hope someone with energy and a vision takes it over. It's potential is off the charts.

Went for dinner with two friends, and it took maybe 10 minutes to get helped, given menus, and get drink orders. After people came in, staff told others that there would be a major wait on food but never said anything to us. For context, there were at most five tables seated in the restaurant. Assuming ours wasn’t affected by the wait, we continued waiting for over an hour. Waitress helped other tables, telling them about the wait, but never said a thing to us. They sent people home without food and free drinks who had waited for less time than us, so that was our sign to leave. Can’t believe they didn’t shut their doors, but oh well

They were out of a lot of menu items, food was over cooked and served cold, warm water and a lot of profanity at the bar.
