We love this place. The food is out of this world. They just go a step further into deliciousness with each dish we've ordered. Service is very friendly. Always happy with the attitude here. They seem to stretch their servers thin when it's busy, I'll say that. So sometimes, service can take a few. That said, the atmosphere is very pleasant, so I never mind hanging out longer than needed.
The BBQ here is consistently excellent, and the selection of sides is impressive, including options like fried pickles, fried Brussels sprouts, baked beans, and macaroni and cheese. There's a good range of alpine beers that cater to various preferences, along with a small but diverse menu of gourmet dishes. If you visit during peak meal times, be prepared for a wait, as even the bar can get crowded. However, I went on a Thursday night, and it was relatively quiet, so weeknights might be a better time to visit.
We visited the restaurant primarily for the beer in support of the fundraiser for the Westfire victims. We arrived at 8:45, but were informed that last call had already been made. The waitress was a bit rude and unwelcoming. However, we decided to ask the bartender if we could still participate in the fundraiser since there were only 15 minutes left. She was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We ordered our beers (two each) and left by 9:00. Fortunately, the bar wasn't overly strict about the time. It seems the waitress could benefit from some training in customer service and interpersonal skills.
If you're a fan of alpine beer, this is the spot for you! The interior has a cozy, dark pub ambiance, while the outside features a beautifully landscaped terrace with a contemporary vibe. The food is delicious, and the service is welcoming. The only reason I didn’t rate it 5 stars is that their extensive selection of alpine beer on tap is complemented by only a limited number of other options.
