Írjon visszajelzéstMy wife and I spent a weekend in Huntington Texas, the 4 hour drive back was clearly to much for us and we had to stop and eat. I literally just chose the Apple map option to add a stop and this was the closest place en route. God clearly was looking down on us at that time. Today was the first day to reopen the dining rooms and oh my god. Black owned, soul food, southern food, straight glee in my mouth the entire meal. I got the Chicken Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes, and MacNCheese. Wife got the Smother Porkchops, Yams, and Green Beans. Plates were cleaned.
I had a burger and fries they were delicious and fresh and hot I love the covid precautions also.
While passing through the area, I decided to stop for a light lunch and indulged in some nostalgia by ordering a grilled cheese sandwich, fries, and a Coke. To my delight, it was the best grilled cheese I’ve had in years. The server even surprised me with a complimentary bowl of peach cobbler, which I hate to admit may have been better than my aunt's recipe. I highly recommend visiting this place!
I'm rating this place a 4 because it's a great hamburger spot with outstanding onion rings. I wanted to try the steak fingers, but they were out of stock. It's a charming little mom-and-pop restaurant.
The order was mixed up, and while the fish was quite good, the fries were cooked in stale oil and tasted awful—I couldn’t eat them. The service was, to put it mildly, quite slow. They really need someone more efficient to take the orders.
