Írjon visszajelzéstLast night of our group holiday and we decided to give this restaurant a go, mainly because we love its sister restaurant, Ruccula. We weren't disappointed! What an amazing place, very clean (their Covid arrangements made us feel very safe) and stylish with comfy chairs, perfect background music and fabulous views of the sea and sunset. The food was outstanding with a comprehensive menu that showcased the best of Algarvian cuisine. The service was impeccable with attentive, welcoming staff who explained the dishes and helped with us choose wines to compliment our dishes. Head chief is a lady called Georgette, who we understand has a reputation for wonderful food as one of our party has eaten at her previous establishments. This restaurant is a hidden gem. The majority of diners were couples, presumably staying at the Golf and Country Club however, the staff made our party of 9 feel just as welcome. I highly recommended this restaurant as it made the last night of our holiday one to remember.
What amazing service throughout our evening. Can not fault the attentiveness and knowledge from Nuno, Rochana and co. Food menu was reduced but just right. The great food and amazing views made this a wonderful experience. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.
This is our favorite resturant in Alvor. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is nice. The waitres is really helpfull and ask up to several times if everything is okey. They also was interested to learn some Norwegian. You get a lot for the price you pay. We are coming back here. (We have also tried Ruccola how has the same owners, we also gave them 5/5) I think they have changed the name from cotton’s to «Thyme by Ruccola»
Now called Thyme. Completely refurbished venue. Excellent service from very attentive staff. A very good meal and all together, a lovely evening. All Covid rules followed. Will be going again.
This is the old Cottons restaurant now called Thyme. The food is exceptional. I liked it so much I went three times in one week. For mains I had the lamb tagine twice and the steak once. All cooked really well and full of flavour. For starters I tried the goats cheese with honey in filo pastry which was incredibly light and delicious. I also tried the Salmon which was a really generous portion and again top drawer. The staff are attentive and friendly and the service conscientious. They have a good wine list with really extensive local knowledge thrown in. Raccula in the town is generally thought of as the best restaurant in Alvor but they now have some friendly competition.
