Drunken Oyster - Amarillo

I had the special for the night and it was a mako shark filet. It was amazing! My wife had the filet mignon, also amazing! The steak was expensive, but you should know going in that this place is a bit pricey, but we’ll worth it! Our waiter was amazing per the usual. Everything about this place is top notch!

Overall, the food and waitstaff were excellent. The lighting was so dim, that everyone in the restaurant had to use flashlights in order to read the menus. Come on, folks, turn up the lighting. Also, the dining chairs are horrible to sit on for a hour or more. Owners and management, try sitting in these horrors for or hours. We have never been charged for bread and or butter anywhere else!!!!!!!!!!!! Why here. The bread was not worth the charge, also when we asked for butter, it was a complete to see that we were charged each for a pat of butter. Ridiculous.

This occasion was excellent. Not so in the past but must acknowledge this time excellent

The Drunken Oyster is always great! We had a o’clock reservation and we’re seated immediately upon arriving. The restaurant was pretty full. Our waiter, Aiden, was very nice and very helpful with any thing you need. After getting our drink order and delivering our drinks, Aiden took our order. We ordered Calimari, which was superb, two salads and entrees. My Caesar salad was huge. It was a meal in itself. My Chicken Creole was awesome. My only complaint was that it felt rushed. Once our appetizer arrived we barley got a first bite and our salads arrived. A couple minutes later our entrees arrived. This was all within minutes of our being seated. We paid our check at half hour after being seated. I don’t blame Aiden for this; he couldn’t have been better. Next time though, I won’t place our entire order at the same time. I’d wait for the the appetizer to come before placing our dinner order. Other than feeling rushed this past time, this place is one of our top restaurants in town. We love this place!

It was my first time going and it was beyond my expectations! They had our table ready when we got there, the drinks were great, appetizers so good and the entrees were phenomenal, and the beignets were the perfect dessert to end it! Service was spectacular. We had one issue with a cocktail but it was fixed immediately with no hassle. It was pricey overall, but worth it for the experience and great for a night out with friends or a date. They even had a live jazz band! would recommend and I will be going back for sure!
