Lazy Gator - Amarillo

I ordered through DoorDash and paid $8 for the gumbo, but the container wasn't even full—it looked like someone had already eaten half of it. The nachos were supposed to come with crawfish, but they didn't have any. Overall, I would rate the food 2 out of 5.

The atmosphere and service were excellent. I ordered the calamari gator pasta, and while the calamari was slightly undercooked, the gator was overcooked. However, the Cajun sauce that accompanied the pasta was fantastic. I would be willing to give it another try. Food rating: 3/5.

The restaurant was bustling, but we were seated quickly. Our server was friendly and attentive. The menu offered a great selection of expertly prepared Cajun dishes. Food: 5/5

We was waiting on an online order told to wait at the bar no they were packed full! Waited for 10 mins minding my business when a Rude bartender raises her voice at us to wait on the other side of entrance up behind tables where people are sitting and eating! Not our issue if you have too many staff going behind the bar maybe say something to them not us.The food has always been awesome and the atmosphere is kinda a loud bar scene with food! The only thing I need is for them to get a handle on your bar tenders and attitudes they have and I’m sorry your busy and your packed and crowded but I’m not gonna go stand behind someone else and crowd them when I didn’t see an issue where we were standing so we politely waited in the heat with NO AC for her convenience! I just know not to get to go orders from Lazy Gator anymore I’ll eat in but not take out not even for my food delivery service!

This has been our most recent go to every time we visit amarillo! We love it here. It has been fantastic every single time. Great staff, food and atmosphere! Owner is so kind and attentive to customers, which, in my opinion always goes a long way!Food: 5/5
