Blue Bull Tavern - Amherst

They call themselves the unofficial home of everything U.B. It was my first visit to this bar, right next to the UB North Campus. You have a nice selection of beers on tap. The menu is not big, they have 4 Burger options. I had the Blue Bull Burger with crispy blue cheese, bacon, salad and tomatoes. It is served with a huge serving by Fritten. The burger was ok, not spectacular; Medium as I ordered. The frits were very hot and crispy. During the bulls games, they have several offers, such as 10 wings for $10.

A friend and I shared two entrees. The chicken Caesar wrap and the Classic burger. Both are served with a large pile of French fries. You can order a side salad instead($3.00) or a gluten free roll($2.50).The wrap was nicely filled with chopped up chicken, Romaine lettuce, Parmesan cheese, croutons and Caesar dressing. It was very good. The Classic burger was a bit disappointing. We picked Cheddar cheese; it might have been better with jalapeño jack. The burger was a little dry. On Thursdays the burgers are discounted $2.00, although I am not sure the Classic one is.This is primarily a college bar as situated just off the University campus. The prices seem reasonable; it is a small establishment. There are a few high tops, with chairs, for eight.

Decent bar food. Good service. Limited menu. Wings were very expensive. Nice hang out vibe.

Loved this bar!!!!! Good eats and the bartender!!! What a girl!! Good conversation. And knew her stuff!! Thanks for the 3.5 hours of laughs and good eats and drinks!!!!

Visited the other day to celebrate a friends birthday. We were a “party of 12” or so. We all ordered drinks and dinner. The bartender was very good, the food was very good, the prices were reasonable, and the establishment was clean. Everyone enjoyed the experience.The only reason for (4/5) is because of issues many business are (inexplicably) facing right now, with poor staffing. The experience was a little slow overall.We would go back, for sure. Thank you !!
