I like the place and food. The people are nice there and food is delicious. I tried about 10 different dishes and I liked all of them. The price is reasonable as well. Last but not least is the the place. It is a fairly big quite restaurant in downtown. If you like chili foods, you should try P9, fried chili chicken. The whole fish and half duck are great, as well.
We had a lovely lunch today at Formosa. The city was bustling with students and elders during the weekend, but Formosa offered us a delightful escape with their delicious hotpot. The interior is very charming, with simple decor, high ceilings, and plenty of natural light streaming in through the large windows. The restaurant is peaceful and the staff is friendly. They source many of their ingredients locally, including vegetables and mushrooms from their own farm. You can taste the freshness in their dishes. The desserts are light and crispy, and the mushrooms are rich and flavorful. They do not use MSG, so you get clean flavors without feeling thirsty afterwards. This is a great spot for vegetarians and vegans, with a dedicated section of the menu featuring a wide selection of sweets and tofu dishes. There are also vegan options available throughout the menu. The servers are knowledgeable and willing to help, so don't hesitate to ask questions. We particularly enjoyed the nian gao (rice cake) and a noodle soup.
We had a wonderful lunch at Formosa today. Despite the busy atmosphere of students and parents in the town for move-in weekend, the restaurant provided a peaceful escape. The dining area is elegantly decorated with high ceilings and plenty of natural light from the large windows. The staff were friendly and the restaurant had a calm ambiance. Formosa prides itself on using local produce, including vegetables and mushrooms from their own farm. The freshness of the ingredients really shines through in their dishes - the vegetables are vibrant and crunchy, and the mushrooms are hearty and tasty. MSG is not used in their cooking, resulting in clean flavors without any added thirst. Vegetarians and vegans will love the extensive selection of vegetable and tofu dishes, as well as vegan options scattered throughout the menu. The servers are knowledgeable and ready to assist with any questions. We particularly enjoyed the nian gao (rice cakes) and a delicious noodle soup.
The appetizers were delicious, especially the small pancakes and rolls. The pansuppenknödel were also tasty. While the main course didn't quite live up to the appetizers, it was still good. The service was nice and the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere.
