Vitos Pizza Grill - Amherst

I waited 35 minutes for an Italian sub. I asked for oil and vinegar on the side. It was drenched in this creamy sauce, and I got creamy sauce on the side ??only the middle of my sub had meat/cheese. The ends index finger long had a measly, one slice of ham and one slice of salami it only look good cuz it was cut down the middle ? . Very disappointing Won’t be returning

Food was good. My complaint is the 20% tip added to my bill because of a large party. 5 of us. The waitress was fine but she only visited the table 4 times and 20 dollars was too big of a tip considering we were there less than an hour.

Excellent food and service. Had the meat lovers pizza and loved it. Would definitely order it again. For a great meal and a good price, this is a good spot to eat in Amherst, VA.

I've been coming here a lot for a year now as this restaurant is consistently the best one in Amherst! Plenty of menu options (including gluten free), good food for a fair price, and wonderful service. I usually order to go and they always get it right, and are always very friendly. Shoutout to the girls taking the orders on the phone, you ladies are amazing! And shoutout to Karen who's waited on us most of the time when we dine in, you are so sweet and always give the best service!My order has almost always been correct even when they are very busy, I have to say that is very impressive! Even when they make a small mistake they are very caring about making it right. They clearly do put in 100% and I appreciate it!

The good: Food was quite good. Cannoli was delicious.The bad: Service. Waitress was super pushy to try and upsell. It was obvious that she was trying to get a bigger ticket becuase, although only a party of 6, the gratuity was automatically added. She made fun of someone at our table for ordering a salad, she never refilled drinks without us asking for a refill, and 2 of us at the table had to wait another 15+ minutes after everyone else at the table had received their food.It's a shame, had I been offered some sort of small comp, (such as a free cannoli) this review would have been 4 stars or better. Instead all we were given is what felt like an insincere apology along with excuses.A lot of people don't get it. You can get food at a lot of places. But I'm paying for more than just good food. I'm paying for good service... I'm paying for an experience. If the business owner or manager of this page actually responds to this post with a satisfactory offer to make amends, then I will gladly alter the stars I left, and perhaps take them up on it. Maybe it's just a bad experience from a questionable employee.
