Ampthill Fish

I have been a loyal customer of Ampthill Fish Bar for many years. While it may not be the cheapest option, the food is consistently good and the portions are generous. The food always tastes fresh. The nearby pub is a great place to stop in while waiting for your order. I would recommend this restaurant over other local kebab shops. Overall, I would rate the food and service both a 4 out of 5, and the atmosphere a 3 out of 5.

2.90 for a small portion of chips. On the phone while serving me. No sauces offered. You think this is Harpenden High Street or something? Na it's Ampthill high Street just out of Bedford. Stop ripping people of just because you can and go trade in Luton/Bedford, where you are probably from and sell at a more appropriate price. Just like the Kurdish barbers round here charging London prices. 1 piece chicken and chips should be £3, not a small portion of chips.

The fish and chips at this restaurant are excellent with generous portions. Parking is available outside the restaurant. The service is for take-out orders only. This is a great place for dinner and the prices range from £1-10 per person. The food and service both receive a rating of 5. Highly recommended dishes include the Cod N Chips. There is plenty of parking space with free street parking options.

Always excellent. Busy, frantic but great service and excellent food. Chicken Shish is a delight and the chips are always top notch. Staff are busy but great....any comments on rudeness are just a miss understanding of how busy they are and culture.....be respectful and you receive respect back. Great takeaway!!
