California Fish Grill - Anaheim

The location was fantastic, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, especially in accommodating my specific dietary preferences. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and we opted for the outdoor area since the weather was perfect on the day of our visit. I only wish they had a franchise in Miami because we would definitely dine there frequently if they did!

I was truly impressed by this restaurant. Initially, I expected to just find a seat and place my order, and I almost left when I saw it wasn’t the case. That would have been a huge mistake! Instead, you go in and order your food, and since we weren't ready, we ended up holding up the line. The cashier was very patient and described the dishes to me. The flavors are incredible—so fresh and full of taste. This has definitely become my new favorite spot!

I literally went a mile from my hotel to try this place, and it was totally worth it. Under a Cue from a previous review, I tried the dynamite shrimp bowl over white rice with a premium side of corn and a cup Strawberry mint lemonade. $17. I'm on a work trip, so I have leftovers now, but if my wife in town with me would have been the perfect meal to share. The crack of fried shrimp was a perfect balance against the smooth texture of rice and sauce. The sauce was a bit sharp on my personal taste, but not on every bite. The corn had a pleasant smoked taste. First week in March, so it was a cool night to enjoy a beautiful walk along the illuminated palms of the road, and a perfect end to a long day of travel. If time allowed, I will return to try a few different options. The staff were welcoming and the outside seats were not overcrowded. The large trays offer plenty of space to do everything. During our visit to Utah for Disneyland, we tried the catfish, fries, and beans, and I highly recommend it. My wife ordered the shrimp in garlic butter, which I would also suggest, but both dishes were excellent. The value was quite good, and the portions were generous, with the fries well-seasoned too.

We waited quite a while for our food. The dishes we ordered were fresh and tasty. The seasoning on the shrimp was just right.
