City Diner - Anchorage

Great Diner for that diner feel we all desire from time to time. I got pancakes and asked for bananna with them. Instead of on top, they baked the banannas in the pancakes ?! It was delicious. Check this place out for some good breakfast food. My hubby really enjoyed their biscuits and gravy as well.

I loved the food. Everything we ordered was delicious. They serve a lot.The place was amazing, it looks like you are in another time, like in the 90s.The service was incredible.Plenty of parking (no cost)I will definitely visit this place in the future

Definitely a 50s type of vibe here. Not overly loud, at least when we went, I’ve always wanted to go into a diner such as this. My only small complaint is I wanted strawberries on my waffle and the server didn’t hear that, I also did heckle her with a bunch of questions as well. I asked for my second favorite thing which was peanut butter and was given that. The waffle was fluffy and tasted great.The biscuit was super fluffy and fresh and the gravy is perfect for the ones who don’t like pepper. The beer was good, it was a stout and I forgot the actual name of it. Also got a scramble egg and it was good.The place was overall pretty clean, the only thing I didn’t like was that you could feel the guest sitting directly behind you with their every move. Definitely a spot to get a bite to eat if you’re in the area.

This is a great place to stop and eat. The food is a bit pricy compared to other local restaurants but they jave a good sized menu and the service is great. Everything came out quick and as ordered which was amazing but one of our meals was not that great. Can't win them all. I still recommend stopping here..

We had a very hardy breakfast at Sami's City Diner. I had the traditional breakfast. Wife built her own omelet and our son had a gigantic breakfast burrito. The food was great and the service was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and it was our first time having reindeer sausage. It was very good as well. They give you plenty to est and the service is very good.
