Espresso Expressions - Anchorage

I've dined here three times and my experiences have been mixed. The wait for food is always quite long, which might be acceptable if the food and service were up to par. However, during my last few visits, I received dishes that were completely different from what I had ordered. On my most recent visit, I ordered a Greek salad but was served a salad without onions, pepperoncini, pepperoni, or salami, and instead of the house dressing, it came with vinaigrette. I'm not sure what's going on, but I ended up with a very basic salad while being charged for a Greek salad. It also had cheese on it, which isn't even mentioned on the menu. I gave a second star because the breakfast burrito I had on my first visit was excellent. Unfortunately, my second and third visits did not meet even basic expectations.

The food here was incredible, and the coffee was just as good! Prices were very reasonable, too. The couple running the shop was extremely friendly and accommodating. We had a large group, which may have overwhelmed them a bit, but they handled it with grace. Our food did take some time to arrive, but that's understandable given our party size. I was a bit surprised that there’s no indoor seating, but we enjoyed sitting outside instead, and they brought our food right to us. I highly recommend supporting this lovely local business! Definitely check it out! Another customer mentioned that they serve the best burritos in town, including reindeer, and I couldn't agree more. The friendliness of the people here makes it even better—probably some of the nicest Alaskans around!

Our group of ten walked over from our hotel, and we had a wonderful experience. The owner, Shan, was welcoming and prepared delicious food. The breakfast burrito with reindeer sausage was a standout, along with the coffee and crepes. The prices were incredibly reasonable. Overall, we were very satisfied with our visit.

Great coffee it's the perfect instant drinking temperature. The food is also great! I just wish we could order faster so we don't have to wait so long if people are in line.
