Sicilys Pizza - Anchorage

[This inital review was written on Oct 13th, but Yelp wouldn 't let me make an account and post this until now. . I have never written a review for any place, but I am so appalled by the service I received today, I have to warn others about it. My family and I have been frequent customers of Sicily 's for over a decade now and we have always had really wonderful service, which is why the place has been a reliable source for not just pizza, but other dishes as well. This is where my complaint comes in; We had ordered a lasagna and spaghetti. When getting the pasta dishes, we are expecting to get a salad with them. Immediately, we recognized that the two separate salads were combined into one container, which wasn 't a bad thing in itself but a little unusual to what we 're used to getting. Opening the container, we saw our salad lacked any lettuce whatsoever and instead seemed to be replaced with what looks like Baby Spinach (which we had never gotten prior to all our years of ordering . Our lasagna was only filled halfway full in the container, when plenty of other times before we have ordered it, it was filled to the top (all except for one time which the lasagna also somehow lacked noodles and meat within the dish, which we had called in to make a complaint about and got a replacement lasagna immediately . I could go to the store and get a frozen lasagna for cheaper than what we had gotten tonight, with more contents added to the dish. The spaghetti was also very runny/soupy than other times we had gotten it. The sauce barely stuck to the noodles, and placing the sauce on any sort of cutlery showed just how watered down the sauce was. The flavor couldn 't even stick to the noodles. It was as if I was eating a can of SpaghettiO 's with extra water in it. Calling the restaurant up to make the complaint, the woman on the other end of the line suggested as compensation, we would get a discount on our next order. That wasn 't what we wanted. We asked if we could at least get a container of just lettuce to make up for the salad, and the woman refused and stated I 'm sorry, but we can 't do that because the order would take an hour. I can offer you the discount for your next order, though. I, assuming she was including remaking the other dishes (as what had happened before , told her all we wanted was just a container of lettuce. She stated, Yes, It would still take an hour for it to be delivered to you. I ask her, It would take an hour to deliver just the lettuce? , to which she responded Yes. I have never been more dumbfounded by a response in my life. Seeing as another person (Diana B. had experienced a similar situation, with being offered a discount instead of a replacement of food (that we customers paid and waited to eat , tells me that they simply did not care nor want to deal with these complaints, and would rather brush their customers off and sweep these issues under the rug. Absolutely disappointed by this sort of response. Please, do not waste your time ordering from them. Do not risk paying money for low quality, low quantity food, and look for another place that cares about their customers and the service they provide.

The new place seems nice. It's called Fresh Cup Playhouse and Sicily's Pizza. It's for kids to play and adults to mingle while you enjoy your pizza or other food items they have. Customer service was great, my only complaint was the computer accidentally shut down and he asked us to kind of wait until it pulls up again. We waited for about 5 minutes but then he started taking the orders of the person behind us before us which kind of irritated me. There was a small party going on when I arrived, but I have no clue if it cost any money to reserve an area or the pricing. You should note that only ages 0-6 years old can go inside the play area. Nice place for moms or parents of younger kids to meet up that isn't Chuck E. Cheese. It's quite nice, small and intimate if that makes any sense.

The food is not good. i ordered a pizza for delivery and it was sent with just the sauce.

Worst service ever, my food never even showed up. The next day was Thanksgiving, when I finally called to ask for my money back they refused to give it to me. Told me I could go and pick my food up if I wanted anything but I had to go that day. I'll never order from them again.

I hadn't been here since before Covid. It's changed. They took out the buffet. Now it's a coffee shop/pizza place. And they use a large portion of the dining area as a toddler aged kids area. Probably 2-5 aged kids. The food tastes about the same. Bathrooms were pretty dirty. Service is ok. I asked for red pepper flakes to sprinkle on my pizza and the guy brought me a bunch of packets of black pepper lol.
