Kotts Cafe - Anderson

Went in for breakfast on 6/21/22 and it was great. Just good old fashioned country cooking like your grandma made. Huge pancakes, perfectly crispy bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs, homemade biscuits with some great jelly options with a heaping helpingof down home country service with a smile and a little sass. Wife and I really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it toothers if they're in the area. Give it a try, you won't be sorry.

I usually go for chicken fried steak in country cafes, and I chose it on this occasion as well. The portion was generous, and I quickly realized that the quality and flavor of their food far exceeded any chain restaurant. The atmosphere was charming and cozy, and it was clear that locals frequented this spot. We also found it delightful to see individual photos of the Kott family displayed on the cafe walls. Our waitress shared some interesting history about the cafe and the family, telling us that the cook that day was actually the youngest member of the family. I made sure to meet her and thank her for the wonderful meal. As for prices, they were very reasonable. Overall, the combination of their friendliness, the quality of the food, and the affordability is something you rarely find in larger towns. This cafe is definitely worth a visit, and we plan to stop by every time we pass through Anderson.

Fantastic service and delicious food! I ordered the fried chicken, and the gravy was phenomenal, along with the salad and mashed potatoes. Our waitress was outstanding—friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and prices. If you're looking for a home-cooked country meal in the charming town of Anderson, this is the place to go. I will definitely be returning. The restaurant was also really clean!

I give this place 5 stars! Their seasoned fries are the best I've had in ages. Excellent work!
