From out of this original location, they've expanded into several shops in Maryland (Annapolis, Baltimore and Bethesda). Many other coffee shops in the D.C.-Baltimore area brew their beans. It's from this location that they roast all of their beans. My little family stopped in on a Sunday morning while on our way to Rehoboth Beach. The space is well designed with a large garage door that opens during warmer weather. There's indoor and outdoor seating. Their coffee menu is always on point with several seasonal drinks throughout the year. My wife ordered a decaf latte and I a vanilla latte. Both came out well balanced and creamy. They also sell a few pastries and packaged goods.
Decided to try Ceremony out since it has good reviews online and I love trying new cafés and coffee shops. The place itself is cute. It has a small seating area outside and an urban rustic feel inside. The service/customer experience (ease of ordering, wait time, etc) was fine, really nothing special or memorable; The coffee was NOT good. I ordered a really basic drink — a cappuccino — which I drink nearly everyday. The one that was made here was possibly the worst cappuccino from a coffee shop that I’ve ever had. The espresso had a strong acidic taste and the milk was not that smooth velvety milk you’d expect in a cappuccino, it was more of flat steamed milk. I paid over $6 for a basic drink that I couldn’t drink.
Delicious drinks/treats in an industrial yet inviting space. They brew their coffee on-site, which (to me) adds a lot to the appeal. I greatly enjoyed the cappuccino, and the blueberry muffin was a pleasant snack for two. Handful of indoor seats, and a decent amount more on the patio outside. I’d imagine parking might be an issue if you come at peak hours, but we didn’t have an issue.
So disappointed. Came here THREE times and tried a cappuccino (each time was a different espresso bean and each time was so sour and acidic that I took one sip and couldn’t drink the rest. The brew I got was the same issue- super acidic. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and keep trying but I don’t really understand how they are selling this coffee or how people are drinking it. Maybe some people like their coffee like that, or maybe people don’t know what good coffee is supposed to taste like, or maybe most people are putting tons of sugar or just drinking tea when they come here.. idk. Just sad because this place is so cute and I really wanted to support a local business but its honestly just really bad coffee :
The coffee shop itself is perfect, and feels like a well kept secret. But unfortunately, the coffee is so very very sour and almost undrinkable. Hopefully I will find another reason to sit at this beautiful coffee shop (3 Weeks later decided to give it another try) It's truly unfathomable that people are sitting here pretending to drink this coffee, this time we decided to try a cup of brew, and a cappuccino, after one mouth clenching sip of each, we poured them out and left immediately! I'm not sure whether they're completely faking it here, or they actually think this is servable coffee
