Oriental Bambu - AOSTA

Tasty food and completely different to other restaurants in the area. Sushi is delicious and not expensive. Thai green curry one of the best I’ve ever had. All staff are lovely.

The food did not taste fresh, even though the dish I ordered was one of the few that “did not contain frozen items”. I was disappointed and did not eat half of it. They also charge you extra to eat inside, €2.50) and they charge for tap water. €1.50) These are just small amounts but not mentioning them is annoying, I have never heard of a restaurant charging for tap water before, it appeared on the bill at the end. I wouldn’t care about this so much if the food was good. My rating is just based on the food which did not taste fresh :

Huge selection of sushi dishes as well as Chinese and Japanese cuisine. Beautifully presented sushi makes this a special restaurant. Service was prompt and efficient.

Oriental menu with Japanese, Chinese and Thailand options. Only the Japanese and Thai dishes are marked on the menu with symbols indicating whether vegetarian, if gluten etc., so please ask which Chinese dishes you can have. However, the V (vegetarian) icon is used to identify all dishes that do not contain meat, but fish may be included. So miso soup (competitors fish stocks and fish derivatives, after the waiter) and yarn rolls are also called vegetarian. A little pricy offered for quality.

Se per un ristorante è sufficiente portare al tavolo di pane senza lardo o latte per rimanere in questa lista, allora perde la sua utilità. Ristorante con opzioni vegetariane contenenti pesce. Con contorno una miriade di piatti a base principalmente di prodotti animali. Anche il dubbio del conto errato.
