Famous Dave's Bar B Que - Appleton

My experience is always fantastic every time I eat here. One of – if not, the BEST – place you can get in southern style food in the area. The staff is always extremely friendly and the food arrives on time. Thank you for everything you do to offer such an excellent experience!

Gorgeous experience went quite early I was the first to sit great service great food great building just great!

This Famous Dave's location in Appleton now has counter service. So we stayed too long and waited for a host to sit down before we found out for us. Not sure why it's counterfeit, but the staff thought it wasn't a big change. The service was decent after we sat because we didn't wait too long. The place has the usual Dave's charm, but it was almost empty at noon. Another difference to other places was the lack of blues music playing so the vibe suffered. The Cornbread Muffin and Slav were pretty great. The pommes were fine, but could have been hotter and crispy. The full crack of the ribs was very tasty overall, but an end of the rack was much overdue. I guess it was more of a Decent Dave's on Saturday we visited.

You've changed things since last we were there. Order and pay first in the register, find a seat, serve yourself soda... You bring the food to you. We had a very nice young man who helps us in the register! Food was great! I'm sorry! Children before I got a picture of all the food

Unfortunately had a very poor experience again after past bad experiences. We almost always order take out and today after being quoted 12:06pm pick up time I arrived a little late at 12:10 pm just to be told they had a pick up time of 12:30 pm. When I told the guy I had the receipt that showed 12:06 pm he said because we ordered salmon it needed to be thawed so it wouldn't be ready until 12:30 pm. The staff did not act professional in any capacity and were all hiding in the kitchen (literally no one at the front or bar almost the whole time I was there). There was almost no one in the restaurant but even when other people walked in there still appeared to be no staff. Most of our food was cold by the time I brought it back (after a 5 minute drive). Previous orders have been missing things or given wrong items. The price just isn't worth it for the quality of food and service. If you're craving BBQ, head to Parker John's for quality food and service.
